NSB Jeans Fund - Dolly Parton Imagination Library

It’s been many years since the launch of the Jeans Fridays program.  This program gives employees of Nebraska State Bank & Trust Co. (“NSB”) the opportunity to wear jeans on Fridays if they donate $5.00 to the NSB Jeans Fund.  Recently, the NSB Jeans Fridays Fund donated $500.00 to the Central Nebraska Interact Club’s program which is raising funds for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Foundation.

“For those of you that haven’t heard of this organization, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Foundation is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and Republic of Ireland,” states NSB Jeans Fund coordinator, Rebel Hunt.

The Arnold chapter of Central Nebraska Interact Club is a group of teen leaders that has set a goal is to help provide age-appropriate books every month to the homes of children in Custer County.  A donation of $25 per child, per year, ensures children get a hard-bound or heavy paperback book, titles from well know authors, tips for parents on what to talk about when they read it to their child, and the mailing label shows that funding comes from Custer County.

Ms. Hunt adds, “The Central Nebraska Interact Club is a great organization, and I’m happy we can donate to one of their causes.  NSB is motivated to support many non-profit Custer County organizations and programs.  And, we’re proud to have helped provide books for the children of Custer County through this fundraiser.”
